Potty Training Rylan

Rylan has not shown much interest in potty training and I have learned not to force it after going through it with the older two kids. When kids are ready, they will be ready - no need to cause stress for mom and the kid! It took us awhile to finally find underwear that would fit skinny little Rylan, but we finally did. (FYI - if anyone else is struggling to find the smaller undies for their skinny kids, I have found the Sesame Street kind at Wal Mart runs smaller than any other brand I have tried!) There are some days when Rylan asks to wear underwear; however, those days are few and far between! Often, he tells me that big boys wear diapers....funny kid!

The other day was an "undies" day. Throughout the day, he wet two pairs of underwear and then he pooped the last pair (even after going on the toilet for some of it!) I have no idea how he managed that one - oh well! After the last pair, I asked him if he wanted to wear undies again or if he wanted to wear a diaper. He told me he wanted a diaper. I told him to go and get me one, which he obediently did. After I finished putting the diaper on him, he stayed laying on the floor. He then said, "Ahhh.....now that's better!!" He had the most dramatic, dreamy voice as he said it. I laughed so hard!
