Cambrie is such a Daddy's Girl. Last week, Mike was gone for most of the week for a business conference in New Orleans. He got home late Friday - well after 1:30 am - so I guess, technically Saturday. :) Cambrie happened to wake up screaming just before Mike got home so I pulled her out of bed and had her in the living room with me. She thought it was playtime, but she was still quite grumpy with me. As soon as I saw the airport shuttle pull in the driveway, I told Cambrie, "Daddy's home!" I had the front door open and just the glass door shut so she could see out onto the front porch. She got super excited and started acting like a monkey saying, "ooh, ooh, ooh" and then she ran to the gate at the top of the stairs and started screeching. As soon as she saw Mike coming up the front stairs, she was squealing and waving. She gave him such big hugs when he got in the house. It was so cute. I knew she missed her daddy, but didn't realize just how much!
This week, each morning as Mike leaves for work, Cambrie seems to start getting anxious. She hovers around him and starts whining. She wants nothing to do with me! He will pick her up to give her a big hug goodbye, but as soon as he does, she turns around and waves "bye-bye" to me! She has the biggest grin on her face. Sadly, as Mike hands her to me (while I am sitting on the couch) she starts thrashing and screaming. It is like she is having a seizure. She starts crying and hitting me. Mike leaves for work knowing his little girl loves him and I am left to deal with the aftermath!

Isn't being the BORING ole mom GREAT?! :)
She's been a daddy's girl right from the beginning! Cute girl, but sad for you.
That's really sweet but also very hard to deal with. Drake is the same way with his Dad right now. Rett came home from work one day to grab something, and the boys both whined and cried for like an hour after! But, it's really nice when Dads are home for the night and all they want is them! A nice little break for the mom!
Ah, that is sweet how much she loves him. It's amazing to me how much James loves Chris already at only 6 months. He gets so excited to see him when he comes home. Smiling and kicking as hard as he can. Then, Chris walks by to go wash his hands and he completely loses it. It's so sweet I think (sometimes ridiculous) . -Hopefully once she sees that daddy is back to his usual routine she won't freak out as much. Nothing like starting you day off with a complete tantrum.
That is funny, that just means mommy needs to leave sometimes too, so we feel loved! I Love when my kids tell Jeff that's not how mommy does it! Have a Great day!!
