Playdough Valentines

I saw a cute idea online at FamilyFun for valentines made with homemade playdough. I thought they were super cute and Gavin agreed we should make them for his class. We made up a batch of playdough and then cut it out with a heart cookie cutter (which I recommend you find the smaller one and buy EARLIER than the day before the school Valentine's Party! I finally found the right sized cookie cutter at a grocery store!) We made up the Valentine on the computer and it said, "Dough" you want to be mine? Happy Valentine's Day! At first it bothered Gavin that I spelled "Do" wrong....but he eventually caught on and realized it was a play on words.

When Gavin came home from school, he was excited to tell me his teacher loved the idea and it was a big success!

Alyssa also wanted to give one to her best friend, McElle. Of course, she didn't want me to use the same card I made for Gavin on the computer. She wanted creative control over what clip art to put on her card. She also used the giant cookie cutter so McElle would have a bigger piece of play dough.

That is a super cute idea! I love that it isn't candy! And I love that it is pretty inexpensive! Great idea! They turned out super cute!
