Rylan Unattended = TROUBLE!

Rylan has always been our silent terror. He is so quiet - you forget he is there - but at the same time you also panic! If I haven't heard Rylan for awhile, I have to find out where he is and what he has gotten into. A few days ago, I went to the store one night with Alyssa. Before I left, I bathed Cambrie and passed her off to Mike to put her lotion on her and get her dressed. Mike isn't used to thinking about what Rylan will get into so I guess he left the lotion down. This is what he discovered later when he found Rylan:





Needless to say, Mike then had to give Rylan a bath. At least he smelled good!

On Sunday, Mike made a yummy lunch. I guess Rylan was still hungry. we caught him on the counter helping himself:



But wait...there's MORE! Yesterday I caught Rylan with scissors. Somehow that boy can find scissors no matter where they are at. I really try to hide them and keep them put up, but he always manages to find some pair....somewhere! He really enjoys cutting the clothes he wears. We have had a few snips in t-shirts before - small triangle here and there. He also loves to cut up my yarn for knitting projects! However, we have never had anything this bad!




Yes, he was wearing his pajama pants when I caught him cutting. When I walked in on him, he was carefully trying to snip the leg of his onesie. There was also an unopened DVD next to him - so I figure he was trying to find a way to open the packaging and decided it was too hard and switched gears to something easier....clothing!!

He was extremely angry with me when I caught him. That boy has a huge temper. Do they have anger management classes for 2 year olds? :) I tried to get a picture of him while he was still wearing his pants, but he kept turning around against the cupboard and was screaming, "No cheese! No cheese!!" (He usually proudly smiles and says "cheese!" when we get the camera out!)

I am suprised that boy has not actually cut himself with scissors yet.

And just because I was doing this blog entry right now...he had to get into something else. Alyssa just came in and told me he was into lotion. I couldn't imagine how he got into lotion. I have it all put up! I just ran out to the living room and he had gotten into the diaper bag and got out my little bottle of Lubriderm and had taken the lid off. Lotion is everywhere. I am going to go crazy!!! Will this boy even make it to his 3rd birthday?! :)
