Family Home Evening at the Pool

Yesterday we met Jeff, Shauna, and Kyler at the pool for our summer tradition of Family Home Evening. It was at least 90 degrees still at 6:00pm. It was a great night for the pool. Of course, I had to do Alyssa's hair before we left. This is what I came up with:
We stopped and bought pizza again (another tradition) and so we enjoyed eating and swimming. I think everyone had a good time. The kids love going there. It was fun watching both Rylan and Kyler in the pool walking around.....now that they are big boys! Alyssa was in some strange baby mood yesterday so she kept screaming and crying for people to catch her on the baby slide (sorry, Jeff!) or for various other reasons - more than annoying. Oh well. I know the kids were tired before we even got to the pool, so I am sure that contributes to some of the attitude. The kids were upset when it came time for the pool to close. It really didn't feel like we had been there very long, so I could understand why they were upset. I told them next time we would be ready earlier and get there earlier so they could play longer.
