The Cold Cereal Buffet

Last week I was busy making dinner for my father-in-law's birthday (I was crazy and decided we should make dinner for the whole family and take everything to them for a nice get together). I was busy all day getting ready for it. Alyssa was my "helper" with Rylan. I guess she had a box of cold cereal and was "snacking" while watching cartoons. Apparently, she took the bag out of the box and when she was done, she put it on the counter. Rylan obviously wasn't finished and so he saw the bag of cereal and did what he does best - he figured out a way to climb up and get it. This time he used the dog kennel as his stepping stool. We have to always keep the chairs pushed in around the table so he can't climb on the table. I lay the bar stools down so he can't climb on the counter. If something is available for him to use, he discovers it in seconds and climbs somewhere high. Anyway - he climbed up and grabbed the bag of cereal. I was on the phone in the other room and came out to discover him sitting proudly on the dog kennel with cocoa puffs surrounding him all over the floor. He was so happy. Sadly, I was too busy to clean it up right away, so he enjoyed a little cereal buffet all day and just grabbed a snack whenever he was hungry....I know...gross! :)

"Uh-oh...she found me!"

As I told him "No, no!" he found it hilarious to point back at me and tell me "no, no!" I loved it!
