On December 7th, we blessed Cambrie. She was nearly 3 months old. We are so thankful for all of the support we received for that special event. Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Lynn were able to come down from Idaho. They spent Saturday night with us and helped us get things ready. The kids love having them spend the night here! Grandma Debbie made Cambrie's dress. It was beautiful! I know she stayed up late finishing it before she came ~ thank you, mom! My mom has the most amazing talents. She can sew anything...she can really do anything!Like usual, we were rushing to make it to church on time. :) Mike gave a wonderful blessing. We had a lot of family there that day and many special priesthood holders in the blessing circle. Thankfully, Cambrie was quiet during the blessing! Mike also shared his testimony that day (as did Brad). Rylan was a pill that day and didn't want to sit quietly
- nothing new! Grandma Debbie held Cambrie during the rest of the meeting and kept her content. Gavin and Alyssa sat in the back with Mike's family - thank you so much Grandma for entertaining them during the meeting - especially while having a foot in a cast! It was a great meeting. After sacrament meeting, we came back to our house to eat and visit with all of our family who came and supported us. We served Hawaiian Haystacks....simple, yet yummy. Everyone else brought great treats and desserts. There was a ton of food. Thankfully, the weather was beautiful that day. Our house is small, so it gets crowded quickly; it was nice people could go outside if they wanted to! :) The kids were able to eat and play outside in the back yard (sorry Melanie for the sand box and the rusty wagon....I hope the stains came out of your boys' clothes!) During the gathering, even Monty the snake was able to make an appearance (to the delight of the kids, and to the dismay of the parents!)
We really want to thank everyone who traveled to come for the blessing. It meant a lot to us. We also know there were many who could not make it, but who were still thinking of us and who support us in many, many other ways - thank you!
On the day of the blessing, we were especially thankful for the good news we had received from the Cardiologist just days before and appreciative to our Heavenly Father for our daughter's health. Our hearts were full of love and thanks. We are so thankful to have Cambrie in our family. She is a sweet addition. We all love her so much.
