Haircut Fun

A few days ago, I thought it would be a good idea to quickly cut the boys' hair before church. I am not very good at cutting their hair - but I am determined to learn and I have done ok. Their hair grows so fast and it is so thick. I could never afford to take them and have their hair cut often. My cousin recommended good clippers and scissors to buy and that has helped. I have also studied many tutorials on You Tube. I love You Tube!

Brad had slept at our house the night before so he was there for the hair cutting adventure. I wasn't very happy with how Gavin's cut was turning out so I asked him for advice on how he has cut hair and how Allison cuts his hair. I was surprised to learn they don't even use scissors - they only use clippers. I then had Brad show me how to give a clipper cut. In the end, I had him take over the process. Thanks, Brad!!

Gavin was pretty good. Rylan was a different story. Cutting Rylan's hair was traumatic. He had hair everywhere. He was sobbing so he had hair mixed with tears and snot all over and in his mouth. Mike even tried to help and was trying to vacuum hair of his face (dad's sometimes have crazy ideas!) When it was all over - because he was DONE - he was happy to take a bath. I bet Brad will never want to come to our house again during hair cutting time!
